First floor unit, has an old style Westinghouse air-conditioner in the living area exterior wall (with the condensor unit through to the balcony). Never used since I moved in 6yrs ago - the foam filter has disintegrated and I have never switched it on. Looking to replace it and need options - leave aircon where it is and replace with new; or brick in and mount a new one elsewhere. Looking for heat/cool split-system as there is currently no operable built-in heating in the unit.
