do you do repairs? i have a 'signature' 1.5hp split system. it is not responding to the remote controller. we had someone here from another company, who moved the switch in the unit and the remote then worked. he said that sometimes dust gets into it. i asked him to check that all the buttons on the remote were working but he didn't. he assured me that the problem had been fixed. after he left, the vane button worked but when i pressed it again, it didn't respond. my wife moved the internal switch up and down, hoping to clear the 'dust' so that the unit would work. it's response to the remote has been erratic or not at all. i think it is a problem with the receiver-or whatever you guys want to call it.
