Hi Need somebody to come onsite and provide a quote for a Reverse Cycle Split System Install. The apartment is located on Level one of a three level building. The unit can be mounted underneath the first level. The air-conditioner has not been purchased yet. Body corporate require that:
1. Please ensure that the tradesmen seal any penetrations to fire rated structures with a compliant product in accordance with fire safety regulations and that certification is supplied by the installer.
2. The unit is to be maintained appropriately to manufacturer’s specifications.
3. The installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified tradesman
4. As owner of the unit you will be responsible for maintaining the air conditioner and removal of the air conditioner if it is no longer in use.
5. As owner of the unit you will also be responsible for any damage caused to the common property during installation or removal of the air conditioner.
6. The location of all external components should comply with OH&S regulations.
7. ¨The Owner's Committee recommend placing air conditioning condensers on the roof in order to minimize noise disturbance for neighbours and maintain the aesthetics of the building. If owners with a balcony wish to place the condenser on their private balcony, they may do so, but are obliged to utilise an evaporator tray (for water dripoff) and a protective cover (to minimize noise disturbance for neighbours). If complaints are received in relation to noise disturbance, owners will be required to relocate the condenser to the roof at their own expense. Any external piping or conduits should be in brown or brunswick green to match the existing colour scheme of the buliding.¨
