I have a budget of around $1,000 and am looking at ONE of the below options. Will go with whichever is the cheapest.
This is a straight forward back to back installation (study room wall to balcony) in an apartment unit. The room is only 9sqm. Would provide pictures but service central is lacking the option.
1. I can purchase a 2.5kw (would go lower power if it existed as room is small) Mitsubishi unit for $650 (down from $939) from Good Guys and would need a quote on installation only.
2. You provide the unit (branded) and installation
3. I install the units and you do the piping, evacuation and refrigerant filling.
There is a power point very close by (on the same wall) and as I understand 2.5Kw units do not require a dedicated power cable and circuit breaker.
Please note that I have already inquired with the Good Guys (was looking for a package) about installation options and was quoted $650 for a straight forward back to back 2 hour installation. Basically the cost of installing was the same as that of the unit, something I could not justify paying for so I wanted to see if I can get a better deal here.
