The tubes that feed gas to the burners are slowly leaking when the gas is on one or more burners. The gas builds up under the cook top until it reaches the proper air-gas mixture for an explosive burning. The age of the unit is perhaps 30 years and rusty, it is a Rosieres Rose Blanche.
It is likely appliance needs to be replaced.
