Dishlex Global 300 motor not working

Water goes into the dishwasher as per normal and is heated by the element. However the motor does NOT pump the hot water back into the machine for the jets to spray out. It then drains as per normal.
On the day it stopped working we heard a loud pop and smelt burning plastic. After opening the machine to find the dishes still dirty we noticed a plastic spoon had slightly melted on the element which I believe has either blown a fuse to the motor or caused the motor to burn out. I orgiginally thougth the element had blown but the water is definately getting heated. After taking the sides off the machine I can see that the clear plastic pipe going to the top of the machine that feeds the top jet is getting no water which feeds from the motor.
I don't really have the money to buy a new one however if the quote is to expensive it would not be worth getting it repaired and I will save up for a new one.
