Our front-loading washing machine will not start the cycle. The display is showing as per normal, but the cycle is not starting. I suspect it has something to do with the door's locking mechanism,... Our front-loading washing machine will not start the cycle. The display is showing as per normal, but the cycle is not starting. I suspect it has something to do with the door's locking mechanism, as we are still able to open the door after pressing the start button. We are about to leave for a holiday on tuesday and would very much like to remedy this before we leave.

Dishwasher causes main circuit breaker to trip when it gets to heating part of the cycle. if it doesn't trip the power, it just stops mid cycle, full of water. I am suspecting the heating element. I used the electric grill ok until recently, when the start button seems to have broken off and disappeared inside the dial panel. Not sure if it would be better to replace the entire oven or repair it. Advice and quotes please?
