Lg52inch plasma screen tv needs repairing - black screen

For about a week, the 1st time the tv was turned on for the day, it 'popped' and the screen stayed black even tho the indicator light went on. then we'd unplug it at the back and plug it back on & it would work. today, it just keeps 'popping' to black, even though the white light comes on and the remote sems to be working (ie the white light flickers when you use the remote). there is no sound or picture.
