Water continues filling and leaks, the part that stops the cold water is broken and needs replacing, I also think the Y hose that both hot and cold enter has a split as it still leaks from there when I cover the hole in the broken part to manually fill it, it's been in storage for 3-4 years so not sure why it's broken.
