Repair Electric Pilot Light - Gas Oven

Believe the exisiting electronic pilot light which appears to be a little block that heats up and when hot enough the oven turns the gas on, is not heating up enough. Occassionally the oven will heat up, other times the pilot light appears to be glowing but the oven just never heats up i.e. no flame ever ignites. Otherwise the oven and stove are in good working order.
