Set goes off without warning. i.e. the standby light goes out with no sound no picture and does not come back on.. repeated pushing of the power switch (on set) does not usually work but the light sometimes comes on then immediately fades to off. if left overnight or a few days the set will occasionally work again fut only for a while. when the standby light is lit there are no problems with the remote and the set appears to work ok until it fails again with no light now picture and no sound.
a panasonic repair shop has had a look and they said it needed a 5 pin power regulator which they were unable to obtain.
