The ignition switch to light the gas oven is not working

We have had origin fix it previously and they told us that the ignition switch needs replacing, you try to ignite and it just wont light, they usually take the thing apart clean it up and clean out the spark bit. we have been advised to leave the gas lit at all times but we chose to turn it off two years ago and used electric heaters but its too costly.
