The lock on the door does not work. the door closes properly but because the lock on the door does not work it does not allow the machine to commence washing.
the problem occurred after a power surge in the apartment (the washing machine stopped half way through the washing cycle and would not start again). tried disconnecting the device and restarting the machine couple of times without any positive result.
