Westinghouse Oven seal fitted

I have a westinghouse silhouette oven. the door seal is dead. westinhghouse do not make them anymore. but we located and bought one. but i cannot seem to fit it . it seems as if the inner frame needs to "slide out" just a bit to allow fitting. i cannot find how to do this. it would be a 10 minute repair for someone who knows how to to do so.
