Westinghouse SB915 Dishwasher needs repair - stopping before end of cycle

Dishwasher always stops before end of cycle. Display is different from use to use, sometimes flashes "0", other times flashes "--". Sometimes beeps to indicate a problem, other times does not. usually stops after about 1/2 an hour and will not restart straight away. this happens on every setting except "rinse" which sometimes makes it to the end of the cycle (15 min).
