Whirlpool fridge freezer icemaker not working will not make ice

The ice maker has been replaced 4 times since november last year and has not made ice since the first change over ( the icemaker was making ice with out any problems prior to the first change over) it was changed because the fridge mechanic said the teflon coating was coming off and the whole unit needed to be replaced.
he called last friday for the forth time and replace another ice making unit and a valve in the rear of the fridge - still no ice
