How much money will you make from selling your excess solar energy back into the grid in ACT?
The ACT legislative body made provision for a gross feed in tariff in July 2008. This means that ACT residents will receive the feed in tariff for all the energy they produce, rather than just what can be fed back into the National Grid as excess. Originally the tariff was set at 50c p/KW hour for systems with a 10kw capacity and 40c p/KW hour for those with a capacity of up to 30 KW.
This was revised in 2010 April and is now set at 45.7c for all systems which have a capacity of up to 30 KW. This rate is going to remain in place for the next two years and all contracts are guaranteed to be honoured for up to 20 years from date of commencement.
