Case study: What happens when you don't follow up?

A job was posted on Monday and a business answered it. The customer says “I received your email on monday advising me that XX would be contacting me within the next 24 hours. They did not ring me. I then relisted the job on wednesday and i received your email advising me that they would be contacting mewithin 24 hours which they did on wednesday afternoon. I told them i was not interested as they left it for 2 days to ring me.”

That’s not the only reason, but it will definitely be one. Whether it’s your business who doesn’t follow up or one of the competing businesses, it inconviences more than just the customer – it also harms your fellow service providers. We all have days when the wheels fall off, but getting in contact with your prospective customers has got to be a high priority – even if it’s just an SMS telling them you’ll be in touch later!
