How much money will you make from selling your excess solar energy back into the grid in Northern Territory?
At the time of writing there is still a great deal of uncertainty with regards to the feed-in tariffs in the Northern Territory. Currently however it’s only applicable to 225 rooftop PV systems in Alice Springs. The feed-in tariff is set at 45.76 c but it's capped at $5 p/d, it then reverts to 23.11c on a net tariff basis.
It’s not known how long this is guaranteed for or what the maximum amount is going to be. Keep an eye on the Service Central Solar page and we’ll post updates as and when they appear.
Net vs Gross feed-in tariffs: What’s the difference?
This question has been asked by many ppl who have installed systems on there roof's-as to why the territory gov will not (and by the sounds of it )if ever increase the FIT for solar power in the territory?.
