How much money will you make from selling your excess solar energy back into the grid in South Australia?

The South Australia government has legislated to provide a net feed in tariff. This means that you only get paid the feed in tariff on excess electricity that you feed back into the National Grid.

The South Australia Government are currently paying .44c per KW hour for all electricity uploaded to the National Grid. It was announced at the end of August 2010 that this would be raised to .54c per KW hour however it wasn’t announced when this change would be effective.

The scheme in South Australia is guaranteed for the next 20 years and started in July 2008.
