How much money will you make from selling your excess solar energy back into the grid in WA?
Originally the WA government announced that their feed-in tariff would be set at 60c p/KW hour working on a gross basis and that it would start in 2009. However they have since changed this to a net feed-in tariff of 44c. So only electricity exported to the National Grid will be paid at this rate, and further more in WA this only applies to domestic properties.
The net feed-in tariff for residential properties are guaranteed to receive their rates for ten years. However the maximum that can be fed in varies across the region. In Perth and the South East it’s limited to 10 KW p/hour and everywhere else it’s 30 KW p/hour.
