Bricks on house have salt water damaged from pool

The back of my house backs onto our salt water pool. Hence the previous owners did nothing an now approx 300 bricks are deteriorating.
When you rub the bricks lightly the brick work flakes off like sand.
Hence I need it fixed before I can seal it and perhaps you could also render it? I've heard of a chemical treament as well so open to advice from an expert in this.
