Robert requested 3 quotes from Brick Layers in Northcote
Multiple separate brickwork repairs required:
* Fix leaning bricks above garage door. We have a double brick garage and the area above the main door is leaning forwards slightly. May need replacing. Not sure if it can be righted.
* Fix leaning front fence (at one end). Brick fence along the front of the property it leaning forwards over the footpath at one end, assuming due to tree roots. Other than that the fence is intact. Fence is quite short (about half a metre high).
* Repair mortar in a number of areas around base of house walls. Mortar is disintegrating in a number of areas around the base of the main house walls. I'm hoping the mortar can be replaced without having to replace the bricks.
* Tidy messy mortar on side of shared garage wall. We share a brick garage wall (similar to our own) with the neighbouring property but the original brickwork was done quite roughly. I can only assume there used to be a fence or some other structure that obscured it from view. Once again I'm hoping that something can be done to tidy it up without having to replace the wall.
I believe all the existing brickwork is around 30 years old. I can provide photos of all areas that need fixing to assist with quote.
Depending on cost/effort we may not want to repair all areas immediately. Would be great to know individual costs, as well cost to have it done all at once.
