We have a small renovation in Essendon that has been bought to a stage where it just needs 3-4 weeks of a handyman or builder experienced in small renovations to assist in finalising and fitting off.
We've had a handyman working there on weekends but there's too much to do to just do on weekends. We need someone to coordinate trades, clean up, and undertake a few of the more major items in preparation for finishing trades.
This would suit a retired builder living around Essendon.
We'd like someone to start as soon as possible, but we need good continuity. You need to be able to have a good run at the job and make sure that we set a reasonable program and meet the deadlines we set so trades such as tilers and painters can be organised.
The unit has been gutted and re-plastered, however the bathroom needs major work. Here is a list of things that need completing.
- In the lounge room, some floor boards need removing, sourcing similar material and replace where a wall was removed.
- Remove a door frame and square set the plaster ready for painting.
- Replace the laundry architrave where powerpoints have been changed.
- Supply and fit skirting to laundry
- Replace man hole in laundry
- Replace architrave in bedroom where light switches have been removed
- Finalise wardrobes after installation
- Cut and remove bricks from bathroom window
- Fit and install bathroom window
- Set the tile underlay on the walls in the bathroom in preparation for tiling.
- Seal the bathroom in preparation for tiling
- May need to remove and reset shower base
- Measure, supply & fit hob for bath
- Re hang the door in the bathroom
- Remove and replace existing internal door handles with supplied handles
