Enclosing Balcony in a City Terrace House

We own an early 1900s terrace house based in the city. The majority of it's original external features are intact including the balcony on the first floor. To create more internal space and to limit excessive outside noice, we would like to fully enclose our balcony accompanied by the installation of window/s. We're ideally looking for a modern look and a solution whereby it's private enough for people not to be able to look in but bright enough to let light through. Please help! Cheers, Emile
