Install a steel plate at ceiling level to support an existing chimney

Ronan requested 2 quotes from Builders in Newtown

A structural engineer has provided a plan to support an existing unused chimney. this requires installing a galvanised steel plate (120mm x 8mm) to support existing unsuported brick work. the steel plate will be suported by a common brick wall, and will need to be welded to the underside of a steel angle beam. the job will require a combination of brickwork and welding. access to the chimney is via the living room. the ceiling has already been removed to expose that part of the chimney which needs support.
