We have a pillar in the middle of our family room that we would like to remove (or reduce the size of) it is plaster and partly hollow but load bearing in places.
we would ideally like to remove it and replace with a beam in the ceiling. we would like to know if this is possible and approx costs to do. we are ready to go ahead with this job asap if we can find someone to do.
