We are converting two rooms into one large living room. Require an internal wall be removed measuring 4.2m X 2.8m high. Whilst I am not a builder and would require the person giving a quote to inspect, it has been suggested that there is a requirement to Insert a beam of at least 290mm spanning the entire area (250 - 350mm inserted below existing cornices) on both sides of opening support timber studs put in place to take weight of beam.
Would also require plaster edges smoothed off on wall edges & ceiling. One light switch to be relocated, but I have an electrician who will do that.
