We would like to extend the back part of our house to add a family room. it is a weatherboard house with tiled roof with easy access to the rear on a flat property. we require plans and would prefer a business that includes a design team who work in conjunction with their builders and also take care of all permits, inspections, etc.
the extension would adjoin a kitchen/dining room with the concept of making it open plan with approximate dimensions of 5.5m x 5m. the floor would be hardwood and we would like to have a series of french doors opening to the backyard.
we would also like to extend a bedroom also at the back of the dwelling to include an ensuite. at approx 3.5m x 2m, we would like included a vanity unit, toilet, shower and bath with tiled floor and walls tiled halfway allround.
to us it appears to be a relatively simple extension and we were hoping to have it built within a budget of $60-70 000. we would also prefer to work to a contract that is an all inclusive cost.
we would prefer a business that depending on the costs, we would also like to include a deck out the back of the extension.
although we have no great urgency, we would like to start looking at construction at some time during spring.
