Structural report & advice 1950/60's brick veneer single story home

David requested 2 quotes from Builders in Brunswick

We have small cracks in some of our walls. we could fill them in but we want to tackle the problem, not the symptom.

also, we are getting some renovation work done which will involve removing a large concrete slab that abuts the house. no doubt the contractor will want to use a jackhammer to remove the concrete - we are worried that such action will worsen the crack in the external walls (though the walls do not abut the concrete slab)

so the job entails:

1. investigate and report (written) on the cracks around the house, and provide solutions and if
2. suggest a method of work for the contractor that would not exacerbate the cracking and/or what steps we should do before the contractor arrives on site should it be needed to prove the contractors work exacerbated the cracking (depending of course, what the report in 1 found)

the house is a brick veneer house, single story, built in 1950/60's, in brunswick victoria
