  My partner (23) and i (20) currently live with his dad, his uncle also lived in the granny flat but has now moved away. we want to move out of the house and into the granny flat for more privacy and our own little romantic sanctuary. we want to start from scratch and rip everything out, as everything in the flat looks horrible, this includes a mini kitchen, bathroom, the bedroom area, lounge and study. we want to introduce feng shui into the flat for good flow, also we want a colour scheme and lighting system that is relaxing but romantic. so this means painting throughout, new flooring, new cupboards, new lighting, etc. we like the idea of a beachy/wooden/natural colour schemes, eg whites, light blues, browns and some wooden touches. we want something that reflects our age, something that is modern but not to over the top, as we want to be able to relax and not be overwhelmed. we would like to put in a small woodheater in the lounge area as it if freezing inside the flat in winter. we already have a reverse cycle air conditioner in the flat but would prefer not to have to use it. we would like the bathroom to be a hotel suite style, with a half wall with wooden blinds connecting to the bed area. we would like a spa bath for two, a roomy shower, toilet, basin & vanity with storage space. we prefer plain colours as possible for the bathroom. the study area needs to be highly organised as i work online from home and will spend all day there. there is currently a half wall dividing the lounge from the bedroom area, we would like to keep the half wall idea but add something to it as it seems plain and boring. we would like all wooden blinds put in throughout and possibly a window or two added in the kitchen area. also in the kitchen there is a small breakfast bar for two, we want to keep this idea but put a new one in. we need all new cupboards, tiling, sink, small fridge etc. we will be cooking big meals such as dinners in the house, but we would like some small appliances in the flat for when we want to cook something simple up ourselves. we also have an inside cat, we need to make this space fit for her aswell, nothing around that can be easily knocked over by her, we need somewhere to put her cat condo or have one built in to the flat? also we would like some sort of hidden flap in the wall to go to a covered boxed litter tray outside. overall we want to make this small space appear bigger, functional, to be cosy, snuggly and romantic for our own little getaway. our budget is around 8 to 12 thousand dollars. if you feel you are creative and have good feng shui knowledge please contact me.
