I need to have a stainless steel kickboard installed in an existing kitchen

I have timber Kickboards in my kitchen and wish to have them replaced with Stainless steel or have a strip of stainless steel placed over the top. Not sure of actually how it would be installed. Existing timber is dicoloured and slighty warped due to moping.
