Hugh Taylor requested 3 quotes from Carpenters in Malvern
I have a floor-mounted cabinet that was designed around a large old TV which occupied the central section, with open shelves above for VCR and Foxtel and 6 sliding drawers below for videos and DVDs.
Now that TV is gone and I need to reconfigure the available space to house just my collection of videos and DVDs.
So I see 3 parts to the job:
1. Remove the horizontal central shelf above to allow two spaces to become just one (possibly divided in 2 by a vertical panel) to house drawers on full extension runners;
2. Fit a suitable number of shelves in the large central space (68cm high, 90cm wide and 52cm deep) now left vacant by the TV having gone and insert drawers on full extension runners for videos and DVDs (I think 3 wide drawers would fit, or 6 if divided into 2 columns by a vertical central panel)
3. Retrofit the existing 6 drawers at the bottom with full extension runners (now they don't come out far enough).
Sounds complicated and confusing? I can send photos and a sketch of a draft design for what I want to anyone interested in this job.
