I'm looking for a chippie who can help me create an opening between two rooms (kitchen and living room). The length of the wall is 3.9 metres and I'd like to have a central opening of around 2.6 metres. The wall itself is a stud wall covered with the old lathe-type plaster. I need a qualified carpenter who can assist me with this job and install a lintel. I will purchase the required materials as per chippie's instruction and I will prepare the wall by taking off the plaster from both sides leaving just the exposed studs.
