- Current staircase is a kite design and the treads and risers are made of MDF (16 steps)
- Treads and risers are currently covered with carpet
- Would like to remove the carpet and have the treads cladded with hardwood (Spotted Gum or another hardwood species) and create a total tread thickness of ~100mm to create timber staircase appearance
- Would like to clad the staircase posts (x3) with the same species of wood ~20mm
- Would like to replace/clad the staircase handrails (x2) with the same species of wood but in a square profile
- Would like to replace the balustrading (x2) with steel wire
- Would need to ensure the carpet on the first floor is appropriately adjusted/tensioned/tacked down to meet the timber
