We need a carpenter to install a fireplace and new front door.
the fire place installation is for a 1920's house that had an original fireplace that was blocked up in the 1970s. we have bought the following items that are ready to be installed:
1. mantle piece
2. cast iron fireplace insert
the new front door to be installed is also an original from the 1920s with stained glass. the current front door was installed in the 1970s and is not within the character of the house.
we have already recieved 2 quotes from 2 carpenters but they have both proven to be unreliable and failed to come on the days they said they would (despite us arranging our plans and taking time off work).
we need this work done as soon as possible as it is holding up our other renovation plans. we would like a quote done tomorrow afternoon and the carpenter to start installation on sunday or monday.
