Written quote required within 10 days so arrangement can be made asap. job to be done in september or october - preferably 2nd half of september. house is high set shamfer board. open up closed in veranda and install balustrade - support existing roof (added on and butted up to original gable). replace the two north end veranda steel supporting posts - timber would appear to be most appropriate as the outer corner post will need to extend from the ground to the veranda roof - which will then match the other veranda posts needed to support the roof. size of veranda is approximately 6200mm x 2300mm, stairs contained within area. part of veranda is enclosed by chamfer board external and fibro internal (with several small pivot windows), the rest is lightweight timber framing with shade cloth. i will be on site doing other jobs and will need assistance with those - replacing stairs etc. veranda decking may need to be replaced also. house is tenanted - no access without arrangements.
