A 2m section of fascia in front of a box gutter has fallen off and needs to be re-installed.
use nail-gun to add new 2x4 timber scab blocks onto ends of 2 or 3 old rafters,
remove existing damaged section of soffit lining (approx 2m x 700mm), replace with new piece of cement sheeting. may require repairing/replacing some battens to soffit
re-install (nail) a fallen 2m length of approx 350mm deep canted timber fascia onto rafters/scab blocks.
fascia has groove in backside to carry soffit lining.
re-nail strip of galv sheeting that joins this fascia section to the next section.
no painting required.
fascia section is on front corner of a 2-storey house, approx 4m above a sloping ground surface (woodchips, approx 1 in 5 slope). job will require an adjustable scaffold with good bracing.
