some bearers have suffered rot from water exposure and the result of instability on that corner has resulted in one wall settling down and thus displaced the cover strip on the corner and so exposing the ends of the weather boards. Some floorboards on the verandah would need replacing and the verandah is low set with very little clearance from the ground, about 900ml (?)
