Single fronted victorian weatherboard. The main jobs are as follows:
1) Wood rot to several window sashes, sills etc. - Some can be repaired, will probably need a couple of replacement sashes and maybe one window completely replaced.
2) Wood rot to the rear verandah post and rear corner of house. The verandah post has some wood rot at the base. Need advice whether to repair or replace. Will need to remove some decking boards and check potential drainage problem.
3) Miscellaneous other weatherboards etc that need replacing.

Edit - Still no invoice/receipt provided for this disgraceful work a month after completion, despite being payed for most of the work in advance and the balance on completion despite the crappy job. Alex should be ashamed, absolutely disgraceful... Job start was delayed and then took 2.5 months to complete. After all this time the results are extremely disappointing. Alex was pleasant to deal with but the quality of workmanship was pretty disgraceful, with little apparent care or pride in the work. In most instances a DIY-er would be able to do better. Simple mistakes include not installing windowsills & trim central to the window, crooked cuts, split timber, timber installed crooked, nails sticking out, trim not installed in the right place, gaps you can put your finger through, the list goes on. \r\n\r\nAlso, Alex chose not to complete part of the work for which he was hired on the basis that he did extra work on another part of the job. We were never consulted about this and only found out about it when we asked why the work had not been done.\r\n\r\nI will now be looking for another carpenter to a) finish the work that Alex should have done, and b) repair some of the shoddy work that Alex left behind. If you care about quality craftsmanship and a good fit and finish I would look elsewhere.
