I have a 3 story town house, with a lot of windows. One of the windows (frame and glass) need replacing quite urgently - the frame is totally rotten. I have been advised that most of the other frames on the house need replacing, but I didn't even get a quote back from that tradesperson. I was told verbally the whole job would cost around $10,000 and that it would be a summer job, so at this stage I want to see if it can be done cheaper and then make provision to have the job done at the start of summer. Ideally I would like the new frames to be painted once they are installed. There is also a possibility that I will replace the ground floor, floor to ceiling windows with french/patio doors to open onto a courtyard.
