Remote control garage door needs fixing

Remote Control garage door is not closing when we push the button. After several attempts, it closes. It takes about 6 pushes of the button. It comes down about 3 inches and then goes back up the first 5 times. Have replaced batteries in remotes, have checked tracks for obstacles. Also each time the door does close, it is very noisy - screeching sound. Not sure if we need an electrician or a handyman. Please advise....
