House extension plans

Tommii called and arranged a time to meet to discuss our needs and arrived on time as promised. Tommii also provided a quote as promised. Tommii was friendly easy to deal with however the pricing was a bit outrageous. Cosgrove's pricing was 4 times higher than the other draftsmen that we had quotes from so we decided to have our plans drawn elsewhere. In response to your feedback Tommii I received an e-mail from you via service central asking for feedback and this was the reason for my comments. I provided honest feedback, at your request. I have noted that you turned up on time and provided a quote which you have seemed to ignore. I never mentioned anything about feeling compelled/committed to using your services. Perhaps the fee nominated should have been twice the price as you quoted. Perhaps you are an award winning designer who is quoting off a pricing structure set by your relevant authorities. However, you are still quoting prices 300-400% higher than your industry peers. Maybe these prices quoted by others were low compared to yours but I'm sure that these competitors would not have been in the industry for 30+ years if the fees were 'unsustainable.' I also fail to see what the Royal Institute of Architects in Ireland has to do with prices here, we are in Australia, right? As to whether these draftsmen are any good or not or represent anything of value, we will decide that - this does not mean that you are either, just because you charge greatly does not mean that you are. I am a self-employed contractor in the building industry as well. If three prices come back at say, 20% difference I would accept that as the current 'going' rate regardless of whether I thought it was expensive or not, but 300%?? I never at any time felt 'forced or pressured to use your company.' I am simply writing a fact. I agree I have not suffered any loss, financially or otherwise. I have actually e-mailed you regarding the pricing issue on Tuesday 18th February at 8.04pm which you have still not got back to me about so your comment about this is a lie. PS On a publicly viewable website regarding your business and your livelihood I would avoid attacking potential/past clients. Potential clients view these sites. If domestic building is really not your thing then don't accept or offer to quote these types of jobs. Every person that has left constructive criticism regarding your service/pricing you have attacked. Not only is this unethical but also an extremely poor and unsustainable way to run a business. I would not expect this type of childish behaviour from a 27 year veteran and 'award winning designer'. Perhaps you should not request feedback from people you have unsuccessfully quoted for, if you do not wish for them to provide honest opinions of your offered services. Take the comments on board (like a man and not a whining little school girl), learn from them and maybe you won't continue to constantly repeat past mistakes.
