Dimmer light broken needs repair, 2 lights replace

dimmer light in the living room needs repair. there are 5 downlights and one normal light in the room. all lights are controlled by the single dimmer light switch. when i turn it on the center (normal) light is dimmed, the other 5 downlights go on and a off, but generally they're all dimmed as well. when i turn the dimmer dial up the lights won't go up. they remain dimmed.
i am hoping this is simply a matter of changing the dimmer light dial/switch. the dial/switch only has a simple round dial and an on/off switch. it's white and looks very basic.
happy to get it replaced with the same.
