we have about a dozen downlights that are not working
the downlights are installed in the ceiling and are low voltage. I suspect there is a transformer in the roof - but I'm no expert and haven't checked.
the light socket is brown or blackened in several cases indicating burning. I'm not sure the state of the wiring itself - requires your expert opinion.
we're preparing the house for sale. needs to be safe and working above all else. But if there are several solutions, we want the cheaper option.
secondly, there is an electric ceiling fan in the laundry that does not work. there is a manhole nearby in the laundry. the fan is a "lansom" (maybe from bunnings) and is approx 30cm diameter.
