Electrician required to fix faulty light switch

Hi,
I have a light in the main bedroom of my apartment that does not seem to be working properly.
When the light switch is turned on the light either does not come on or flickers a bit and then goes out (or stays on).
The light bulb is fine so I am assuming it is the light switch or the light fitting.
