Your plumber/gas fitter can give you a letter or invoice on letterhead stating the above (or using words to similar effect). For example, the letter could state:
I (name of plumber/gas fitter), licensed (plumber/gas fitter), (licence number), attended the property located at (insert property address) on (date) and performed a gas safety check. I confirm that all gas installations and fittings (including the gas line) have been checked and found safe.
The prescribed standard in relation to electrical safety of a rooming house is that an electrical safety check must be conducted at least once every 5 years by a licensed electrician of all electrical installations and fittings at the rooming house (Regulation 20).
