I am having problem with my ADSL connection from a data perspective.

My service Provider for phone and ADSL, Optus, are advising that there is a data quality problem on th eline preventing the service from operating properly. Since the phone line is alos used for a back to base alarm and foxtel, Optus are advising that they cannot diagnose th eproblem further an dthat I need a specialised electrician on site to further diagnose where the problem is coming from. Teh modem is working but no data is passing through.
