Possible? Installation of ceiling fan

Hi,
I am looking at possibly installing a ceiling fan in the main bedroom.
However, I am not yet sure as to whether this is a viable option given that I live in an unit with 1 floor above mine. Also, the walls are concrete slab, hence there is no cavity available to connect the wires to a wallplate without running an external conduit, which is not desirable (although I'm thinking that this barrier could be eliminated with the option of a fan remote).
If installing is indeed possible, then a quote for setup would be needed prior to deciding if I was to go ahead with putting a ceiling fan in place.
As this is currently at the research stage only, installation is not deemed as urgent and a likely timeframe can be determined should I decide the job is worth the go ahead.
