We have a remote controlled ceiling fan with a light attached at the bottom. Neither the light nor the fan works and we have tried changing the light bulb and the batteries for the remote control. There is a soft whirling sound (sounds like something spinning) at the base of the fan attached to the ceiling. Please help.
